What is Batik?
Batik is an Art and Craft wax-resist technique using different coloured dyes decorating fabric.
This technique has been used for thousands of years know by the Egyptians and Chinese.
About Me.
Samantha Hammett was born in a town called Macclesfield, Cheshire in the United Kingdom.She discovered the Arts and Crafts technique 'Batik' while studying Art and Design at Macclesfield College and later did a Foundation Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University.In 2012 Samantha had her first solo exhibition and sold her first artwork 'Thank You' and later sold another piece called 'Owl' in an Art Gallery Called Renaissance Art and Wine Macclesfield.
